Sweet Water Pirates breaks up... Jon and Stellan decided to
form a new band called "Turn off your television". Read more about us

And never forget... We still love you!
David is no longer with us... Well he's alive and prosperous, but he's no longer in the band, as he rather plays the blues with old people. Luckily Stellan's childhood friend "Drumming Frans" wanted to join us instead, and so he did. Frans likes cozy nights at home, walking around in the woods, as well playing the the funk. Sadly we haven't been able to rehearse more than once, since Jocke is in NEW YORK and Stellan is somewhere lost in Europe with his girlfriend. Anyways... In september we will start again. Until then: Welcome Frans!
Dockan is where it happens! Well maybe not tonight, maybe not
tomorrow, maybe never... At least it didn't happen for us. Apart from our good friends, family and the (now not existing) Pachanga, no one came to the gig. It was
a pretty funny feeling, but we did our "thing", whatever that is, and Pachanga did their laud thing... The food was really good and we had alot of beers and Martin, the singer of
Animal Five, took really good care of us. Sadly we forgot our mic stand, guess we'll never see it again!
Who dosn't wanna perform on a beautiful meadow at
the most wonderful place in Skane? Well we do, and now we have. We played at Maglehemsfestivalen one fine summer evening and even though the show was delayed like 2 hours, and even though it was sunday 01 am, and even though
the crowd consisted of 20 people, we had a really great time (except David who was supposed to work early the next morning and got pretty mad). Well thanks anyway David, for driving us
safely home to Malmo in the middle of the night. Hopefully we will play again next year.
Our second gig was played at the famous event Bananfesten
in Lund. We where supposed to play after the special guest (Timbuktu) but as he didn't showed up (until later) we had to play before him instead. The tent was crammed with people, all
waiting for Timbuktu when we tried to soundcheck. Finally we got our self togeather and started to play, and the audience actually seemed to like us, at least the young
people in the front. We played our set of eight songs and even though everyone wanned to listen to Timbuktu instead they surely gave us a good time, and we are happy about that. Sadly we lost our
mascot Kapten salt, so if anyone seen him please send us an e-mail. A big thanks to the bananfesten crew
as well, who gave us barbeque food and beer coupons. Bananfesten is a great initiative and hopefully we'll see you again next year.
We played our first gig at Vinylbaren (mini KB) one fine saturday evening in may. The weather was hot, the place was hot and the small small stage was even hotter. After the soundcheck we all felt kind of relaxed even though we played like shit. The gig nevertheless went ok and our friends and familys seemed to like us (ofcourse they did). And we even got to name our new mascot, Kapten Salt. It was all over in less than 30 minutes and Stellan, Jocke and David felt kinda of satisfied. Jon however, who is an incurable perfectionist, felt satisfied the next day instead. To sum it up we had a really good time and the audience was awsome. Thanks to you all and special thanks to Viktor who took good care of the video camera (without zooming!)
